The Fête de la Musique is a music-filled holiday usually celebrated on June 21st, the longest day of the year. A former French Minister of  Culture thought of the concept and today it is celebrated in 120 countries worldwide.

In Geneva, the festivities span an entire weekend with a jam-packed schedule of musical performances of all genres. I got to enjoy two of those days, hanging out at Parc des Bastions and in front of Geneva’s Museum of Art and History with some friends. Good weather and company, Latin food goodies and music – what more could you ask for? Geneva is a completely different place in the summer, there’s so much light and life. Mark your calendars for next year!
